What is the meaning of the word " Buddha"?
The word " Buddha" is not a personal name; it is a title given to the discoverer of the law of Truth known as the Buddha-Dhamma. His real name is Siddhattha Gotama, a Sakya Prince of Nepal. He made this discovery at the age of thirty five on the full moon day of May about the year 589 B.C. "Buddha" means the fully Awakened or Enlightened one.
